Welcome Sunshine!

Hello Beautiful Warriors!
Summer has arrived and as I write today, my heart is full of gratitude! The quarantine is over, and I am having so much fun outside again. I have been paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, playing with my grandkids at the pool and I can't wait to see you all...we have come a long way my friends!
Having that in mind, I have a special offer for a Restorative Yoga Class for Burnout and it comes from my heart to yours! The Mind Body Zone studio in Fremont will be the hub for the this event, which will be held on Saturday, July 31 from 3-5pm your investment $50. We have limited capacity; a safe personal spot for you and all the others in the group who are vaccinated.
This class was born from the desire I had to move forward although I was still feeling in limbo due to so much struggles we had endured through 2020! But now, I feel ready to come out to embrace changes. I guess, like myself, you have already realized that we cannot avoid the changes percolating our lives within and in the environment surrounding us. We are not the same as we were before, and we do not know yet what we want to become.
This is the time for real transformation! Have you heard about what happens with the caterpillar before it becomes a butterfly? it dissolves entirely, it liquifies, all of its structures are gone for the butterfly to come out.
Does it sound familiar i.e. the excruciating pain of isolation, the restlessness, the losses, and the future you have planned just dropping in front of your eyes? You and I; we are in that process of becoming someone new, with another life frame. Hopefully, it will be a better life with more room for joy, brightness, love, racial equality, justice and a sustainable world with more inclusion. I also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the loved ones we have lost and how important it is to create space for grief.
What we have in front of us is a blank canvas where we can design a new life. The process is about what to take with us, and what to leave behind.
The Restorative yoga class will be an exploration into the deeper layers of ourselves through restorative poses, journal and Reiki. This class will support your desire to move forward with inspiration and clear mind. You can sign up using the link here.
We all know we are facing a future where there is no norm, what was before is broken, even our bones can feel the burnout of our recent past life. The toxicity of being busy and not paying attention to life all surfaced during the Spring of 2020, when we stopped, and had to face the emptiness, the unsustainable lifestyle and lack of real life connections that most of us had then. But now, there is a seed planted in our hearts, calling for nourishment. I believe this is the seed of the better future and a better self, that is to say, a future where we can be who we truly are, with more inclusion, social justice and less consumerism.
Restorative yoga will support you to step into the unknown and navigate the abundance flowing from inside, reconnecting you with your deep dreams for a better life and self! It would be my honor to have you to attend this class!
Register here for the Restorative Yoga on July 31, Saturday from 3-5pm at Mind Body Zone studio in Fremont, your investment $50.
Please note that, should there be any other Covid spike, the class will be held via Zoom.
Hey, don't go yet! I still have goodies for you. Books and movies I am enjoying or have enjoyed.
Books: "Wintering - The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times" by Katherine May. I have been learning with this book more about the beauty of the Wintertime and dark days in the healing process of our souls.
"The Soul of an Octopus. A surprising Exploration into the Wonder of Consciousness" by Sy Montgomery. I am fascinated by the lives of an octopus, they are creatures of wonder and science has been discovering more about them. From mythological and sacred creatures from the past to amazing connections with human beings, the exploration of an octopus life in this book is simply fascinating. I made a visit to Monterey Aquarium last month to check on the octopus, and I loved it!
Movies: "Grace and Grit" the real love story of a philosopher Ken Wilber and his wife Treya.. It is a movie from the bestseller book under the same title.
"My Teacher Octopus' is a movie about a man in a state of solitude and searching for his inner self. He finds comfort in the practice of diving in the ocean and developing a connection with an octopus. It is a brilliant true story with mesmerizing underwater scenarios!
"Human The World Within" a series with physicians, athletes, experts & more on Netflix. It is an excellent, eye opener and thrilling new discoveries show about the human body. Don't miss it!
"Soul (Disney Channel)" is a cartoon but meant for adults. If you are wondering what life is about, check this fun and super entertaining story about a high school musician teacher and his passion in this life.
